Caramels
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (not margarine)
- 1 lb light brown sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Grease cake pan. Melt butter; combine with brown sugar and salt. Mix well. Add corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk. Boil to 245°, stirring constantly (or it will stick).
- Add vanilla and pour into corner of pan. Let cool completely, and refrigerate overnight. Remove from pan and cut into small squares. Wrap in wax paper squares.
