Course Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 24 red peppers
  • 24 green peppers
  • 24 white onions
  • 2 pints vinegar
  • 1 ½ cups sugar (up to 2 cups)
  • 8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • 2 tsp dry mustard or mustard seed

Instructions
 

  • Grind the peppers and onions.  Pour boiling water over the ground peppers; let stand 5 minutes.
  • Pour through thin cloth or colander.
  • Mix with remaining ingredients.  Let come to a boil and seal hot.
