Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger

Instructions
 

  • Cream margarine. Add sugar and continue creaming. Add egg and molasses. Beat well.
  • Sift flour with baking soda, salt and spices. Add to shortening mixture; mix well.
  • Shape into balls about 1 1/2-inches in diameter. Roll in sugar.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Do not overbake.
