Peanut Brittle
Ingredients
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup white corn syrup
- 1 ½ cups raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 dash salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Put all ingredients except the baking soda in a saucepan and boil over moderate heat until syrup is a nice amber color. When candy reaches the hard crack stage, it is done.
- Add the baking soda and stir till it foams. Have a pan hot and well greased. Pour into pan and let cool. Break into pieces.
