Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup white corn syrup
  • 1 ½ cups raw Spanish peanuts
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Put all ingredients except the baking soda in a saucepan and boil over moderate heat until syrup is a nice amber color. When candy reaches the hard crack stage, it is done. 
  • Add the baking soda and stir till it foams. Have a pan hot and well greased. Pour into pan and let cool. Break into pieces.
