Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; add to the above with sour cream. Refrigerate over night. 
  • Roll out on counter top. Cut out with favorite cookie cutters. Bake at 350-375° for 8-10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with sugar before baking or ice with sour cream icing after baked.
