Dill Chicken Salad
Personally modified version from Ree Drummond on Food Network
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless cooked chicken
- 2 cups red seedless grapes halved
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- 4 green onions sliced
- 3 stalks celery sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill (or 1/2 tbsp dill weed + 1/2 tbsp dill seed)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Kosher salt
- black pepper freshly ground
Instructions
- Put the chicken, grapes, almonds, green onions, and celery in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the mayonnaise, yogurt, heavy cream, dill, brown sugar, and some salt and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss gently to combine.
- Allow to chill several hours or overnight. Serve on a bed of lettuce or in a sandwich.
Notes
This is very good with smoked boneless chicken (purchased from Costco).
