My variation of recipes found for spinach dip. Only improvements! I promise!
Espinaca Dip
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 white onion chopped (large)
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 16 ounces white American cheese (or Velveeta Queso Blanco)
- ½ pint whipping cream
- ¾ cup milk
- 10 ounces Rotel Chipotle diced tomatoes drained
- 4 ounces chopped jalapenos drained
- 8 ounces frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp onion salt
Instructions
- In a 3-4 quart deep skillet or pot, melt butter and saute diced onions over medium heat until tender (approximately 5-10 minutes).
- Add remaining ingredients and heat through, until everything is melted. Serve hot.
- If preparing in a crock pot: Saute onions as specified above. Move onions to the crock pot. Add remaining ingredients and cook on low several hours - until ready to serve. Stir occasionally.
