Microwave Caramel Corn
Ingredients
- 5 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Cook sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in microwave until it begins to bubble. Cook in microwave another 30 seconds. Add baking soda and vanilla and stir until foamy.
- Put popcorn in brown paper bag. Pour hot syrup over corn and stir well. Close bag and shake. Microwave for 2 minutes, shake bag, and microwave another 2 minutes. Pour out onto flat pan to cool.
