- 5 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Cook sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in microwave until it begins to bubble. Cook in microwave another 30 seconds. Add baking soda and vanilla and stir until foamy.
Put popcorn in brown paper bag. Pour hot syrup over corn and stir well. Close bag and shake. Microwave for 2 minutes, shake bag, and microwave another 2 minutes. Pour out onto flat pan to cool.
