Otis Spunkmeyer Chocolate Chip Cookies
I created this recipe trying to duplicate the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. I think I came close.
Ingredients
- 8 tbsp butter salted, at room remperature
- 8 tbsp Parkay margarine at room temperature
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 2 eggs
- 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Combine flour and baking soda. Set aside.
- Allow butter and margarine to come to room temperature. In a large bowl, beat butter and margarine together. Add sugar, molasses, and eggs.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Place large rounded tablespoon size balls on ungreased cookie sheet, and slightly flatten.
- Bake about 13 minutes or until edges are barely brown.
Notes
Substitute some milk chocolate chips with some of the semi-sweet for a slightly sweeter chocolate chip cookie.
