I created this recipe trying to duplicate the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. I think I came close.

Ingredients

salted, at room remperature

Parkay margarine
at room temperature

sugar

molasses

eggs

all-purpose flour

tsp
baking soda

cups
semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine flour and baking soda. Set aside.
Allow butter and margarine to come to room temperature. In a large bowl, beat butter and margarine together. Add sugar, molasses, and eggs.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Place large rounded tablespoon size balls on ungreased cookie sheet, and slightly flatten.
Bake about 13 minutes or until edges are barely brown.
Notes
Substitute some milk chocolate chips with some of the semi-sweet for a slightly sweeter chocolate chip cookie.
