  • 8 tbsp butter salted, at room remperature
  • 8 tbsp Parkay margarine at room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Combine flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • Allow butter and margarine to come to room temperature. In a large bowl, beat butter and margarine together. Add sugar, molasses, and eggs.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Place large rounded tablespoon size balls on ungreased cookie sheet, and slightly flatten.
  • Bake about 13 minutes or until edges are barely brown.

Notes

Substitute some milk chocolate chips with some of the semi-sweet for a slightly sweeter chocolate chip cookie.
