Perfect Pie Crust
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour unsifted
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 ¾ cups Crisco vegetable shortening
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbs vinegar
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Put first 3 ingredients in large bowl and mix well with table fork. Add shortening and mix until crumbly.
- In small bowl beat together with fork the water, vinegar and egg. Combine the two mixtures stirring with fork until all ingredients are moistened.
- Divide dough in 2 or 3 portions and shape in flat round patties. Wrap in wax paper and chill at least one half hour before using.
