Perfect Pie Crust

Ingredients 

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour unsifted
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 ¾ cups Crisco vegetable shortening
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Tbs vinegar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Put first 3 ingredients in large bowl and mix well with table fork. Add shortening and mix until crumbly.
  • In small bowl beat together with fork the water, vinegar and egg. Combine the two mixtures stirring with fork until all ingredients are moistened.
  • Divide dough in 2 or 3 portions and shape in flat round patties. Wrap in wax paper and chill at least one half hour before using.
