Sweet and Sour Sauce

Course Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • dash teriyaki sauce
  • dash soy sauce
  • ¼ cup catsup
  • cup vinegar
  • pineapple chunks optional
  • green pepper strips optional

Instructions
 

  • In large saucepan stir pineapple juice and cornstarch until cornstarch is dissolved.  Add other ingredients and cook over low heat until mixture thickens and starts to clear.
  • Add green pepper strips and/or pineapple if desired.  If not red enough, add a few drops of red food coloring.
