Toll House Pie
Ingredients
- 1 deep dish pie shell unbaked
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 cup butter or margarine melted and cooled to room temperature
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325o. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar. Beat until well blended.
- Blend in melted butter. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 1 hour.
- Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
Notes
Use 3/4 cup margarine and a little more flour for a less greasy pie. May bake ahead and freeze.
