Toll House Pie

Ingredients 

  • 1 deep dish pie shell unbaked
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup butter or margarine melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325o.  In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy.  Add flour, sugar and brown sugar.  Beat until well blended.
  • Blend in melted butter.  Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 1 hour.
  • Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.

Notes

Use 3/4 cup margarine and a little more flour for a less greasy pie.  May bake ahead and freeze.
