Wing Dings

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • tsp garlic powder
  • cup lemon juice
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ cup soy sauce

Instructions
 

  • Separate wings at joints; discard tips.
  • Brown in oven for 30 minutes at 400°, turning once.
  • Combine all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes.
  • Glaze the browned wings and bake for 40 minutes, or until tender, at 325°.

Notes

I decrease amount of sugar to 2/3 cup, and ginger to 1/4 teaspoon.
