Cherry Icebox Pie

- 2 large pastry shells or graham crusts
- 20 oz pie cherries
- 20 oz crushed pineapple
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch heaping
- 3 oz gelatin cherry or strawberry
- 4 bananas chopped
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 carton whipped topping
Mix cherries, pineapple, sugar and cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in dry gelatin immediately. Cool.
Add bananas and pecans.
Pour mixture into pie shells and refrigerate.
Top with prepared topping before serving.
