Cherry Icebox Pie

Ingredients 

  • 2 large pastry shells or graham crusts
  • 20 oz pie cherries
  • 20 oz crushed pineapple
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch heaping
  • 3 oz gelatin cherry or strawberry
  • 4 bananas chopped
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 carton whipped topping

Instructions

  • Mix cherries, pineapple, sugar and cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in dry gelatin immediately. Cool.
  • Add bananas and pecans.
  • Pour mixture into pie shells and refrigerate.
  • Top with prepared topping before serving.
