Ingredients 

Base

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg

Topping

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Base

  • Work to a paste and spread in 9x12-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until light brown. Let cool.

Topping

  • Combine topping ingredients and spread on top of base mixture and bake another 25 minutes at 350°. Do not overbake. These are moist if taken from oven as done. Cut while warm. Store between layers of wax paper.
