Ingredients 

  • ¾ cup water lukewarm
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup shortening melted
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  • Dissolve yeast in water, set aside.
  • Pour melted shortening over sugar and mix.  Add beaten egg and yeast mixture.
  • Stir in flour and salt.  Let rise 2 hours.
  • Mold into buns and let rise about double in size.  Bake in hot oven 400o until golden brown.
