Nine-Layer Chicken Casserole

- 9 slices bread with crusts removed
- 5 cups cooked chicken diced
- 4 oz canned mushrooms
- 16 oz water chestnuts sliced
- ½ cup Miracle Whip
- 9 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs beaten
- 2 cups milk
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup undiluted
- 1 can cream of celery soup undiluted
- buttered bread crumbs
Put bread slices in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Add chicken.
Top with the following in order: mushrooms, water chestnuts, Miracle Whip, and cheddar cheese.
Combine beaten eggs, milk and salt. Pour over layers.
Next, spoon the soups over and top with buttered bread crumbs.
Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour or longer.
