- 1 Yellow cake mix
- 8 tbsp butter softened
- 29 oz pumpkin canned, solid pack
- ½ tsp cloves
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ¾ tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 cups evaporated milk
- 6 eggs
Cut butter into cake mix with pastry blender and set aside.
Mix cloves, sugar, salt, cinnamon and ginger with pumpkin. Add eggs and milk. Pour into well-buttered 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle cake mix on top, then sprinkle sliced almonds on top. Bake at 350 for at least 60 minutes. (Toothpick or knife will come out clean when done.)
Serve warm or cold with whipped cream. Keep refrigerated.
