Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking powder,and salt.
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
Form into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll balls into a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes at 400°.
These cookies will puff up during the baking, but will flatten out with wrinkled tops. The tops will be lightly browned but soft when done.
