unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

pecan halves
Instructions
Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium sauce¬pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and butter melts; let cool slightly.
Add eggs, vanilla, and salt to mixture, stirring well.
Pour filling into pastry shell, and top with pecan halves.
Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.
Notes
This one is very similar to Georgia Anderson's except it uses white sugar instead of brown sugar.
