Texas Beef Skillet

- 1 pound hamburger
- ¾ cup onion chopped
- 1 ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- 16 ounces tomatoes cut up
- 15 ounces red kidney beans undrained
- ¾ cup minute rice uncooked
- ¾ cup water
- 3 tbsp green pepper chopped
- ¾ cup cheese shredded
- corn chips crushed
Brown beef and onion in skillet over medium heat.
Stir in chili powder, salt, garlic salt, tomatoes, beans, rice, water, and green pepper.
Cover and reduce heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Top with cheese.
Cover and heat until cheese melts. Sprinkle corn chips around the edge.
