Ingredients 

  • 1 pound hamburger
  • ¾ cup onion chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 16 ounces tomatoes cut up
  • 15 ounces red kidney beans undrained
  • ¾ cup minute rice uncooked
  • ¾ cup water
  • 3 tbsp green pepper chopped
  • ¾ cup cheese shredded
  • corn chips crushed

Instructions

  • Brown beef and onion in skillet over medium heat.
  • Stir in chili powder, salt, garlic salt, tomatoes, beans, rice, water, and green pepper.
  • Cover and reduce heat.  Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.  Top with cheese.
  • Cover and heat until cheese melts.  Sprinkle corn chips around the edge.
